Privacy Policy

Overview

ResumeFriendly helps you build and export resumes. We collect only what is needed to run the service and do not sell your personal information.

What we store

• ATS checker & file import — when you upload a PDF or DOCX for scanning or import, text is extracted in your browser. The file is not uploaded to our servers for parsing.
• Resume content — stored in your browser (local storage) by default. If you sign in, resumes may sync to our cloud database linked to your account.
• Account info — email address and profile details from sign-in (magic link or OAuth provider).
• Share links — when you create a share link, a snapshot of your resume is stored so the link can be viewed.

How we use data

To provide the builder, sync your documents when signed in, generate exports, and serve shared resume links. We do not use your resume content for advertising.

Third parties

We use hosting and database providers (e.g. Vercel, Supabase) to operate the app. Authentication emails are sent through our auth provider. These services process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

• Use the app without signing in — data stays in your browser.
• Delete resumes from your dashboard or clear browser storage.
• Revoke share links at any time from your dashboard.
• Request account or data deletion by emailing us.
